With over 30 years’ experience in the rail industry, Nigel Green is very well qualified to offer advice to any company considering, or already actively involved in, the movement of goods by rail.

During his time working within the industry, Nigel has actively contributed to such bodies as the Private Wagon Federation (PWF), the Association of Private Wagon Owners (APRO) and the Joint Technical Committee that later became the Freight Technical Committee.

In 1992, Nigel chaired the IMechE Channel Tunnel Conference, and during 2004 he assisted CEN/CENELEC with work relating to the Conventional Rail TSI - Rolling Stock, concentrating on braking, buffers and draw gear.

In 2013 European legislation brought with it the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) requirement. In addition to services detailed on other pages within this website, Nigel is well versed to offer advice on this issue.

As a Fellow member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), Nigel has attained a highly respected position within the rail industry. His independent advice is offered whilst bearing in mind two paramount concerns:-

  • the safety and credibility of the industry.

  • the interests of the customer.
